The company was founded with the objective of attracting investment into tourism based projects in the Chablais and Valais regions of France and Switzerland, with a strong initial focus on the Portes du Soleil.

Following an in depth market study, ALP identified the opportunity for this region to become one of the leading leisure centres for Europe. One of the key challenges for ALP, is addressing the local need to develop 'Hot Bed Projects' focusing on encouraging investment in real estate developments which will be used for all year tourism. Such projects include hotels, rental apartments and the creation of chalet operating companies (catered and B&B).
